Our multi-stage evaluation system gives both the public and industry professionals a voice in recognizing excellence in film and television.

Step 1: Initial Review – The First Cut

Once a project is submitted, it undergoes a preliminary evaluation by our team. At this stage, we assess:
✔ Originality – Does the project bring a fresh perspective or unique storytelling approach?
✔ Quality – Is the production value, acting, direction, and overall execution up to festival standards?
✔ Authenticity – Does the film or series deliver an impactful and engaging experience?
✔ Eligibility – Does the project meet the festival’s criteria and guidelines?

Only submissions that meet these standards move forward to the next stage.

Step 2: Official Selection – Voted by the Public

Unlike many other festivals, our Official Selection is determined by the public. Our Voting Members, made up of film enthusiasts, industry professionals, and cinephiles from around the world, review and score each project throughout the year.

Films and series that receive the highest ratings become part of our Official Selection, giving them a platform to be showcased to a wider audience. The Official Selection is announced throughout the year, making the festival a year-round celebration of talent.

Step 3: Nominations – The Finalists

At the end of the year, the top-rated projects from the Official Selection in each category advance as Official Nominees. These nominees represent the best submissions of the year, recognized for their excellence in storytelling, cinematography, performance, and overall impact.

At this stage, both the audience and a panel of industry judges cast their votes to determine the winners. Voting is weighted 50% audience vote and 50% judges’ vote, ensuring a fair and balanced outcome.

Step 4: Winners Announcement – Celebrating Excellence

The festival reaches its pinnacle with the announcement of the winners. These projects are honored at our red-carpet award ceremony, where filmmakers, actors, and industry professionals come together to celebrate the very best in independent cinema and television.

Winners receive prestigious Breaking-TV Film Festival awards, industry recognition, and opportunities for networking, distribution, and career advancement.
